When I built my flash, with elecrons, I needed to extend the opening to make the nose gear fit. The longer leg will make the airplane have a higher angle of attack for takeoff and this may be an avanatage.
Did you also have to enlarge the fuselage tray wheel opening for the wheel to sit flush?
