PT-109 Frank's Mosquito Boats 60" Length Full fiberglass Kit " Very Rare ".......New in Box...it comes complete with all option packages and 2 Full size plan sheets....also includes Dumas's Dual Prop Running Gear....
This 1/16 scale Elco PT109 boat kit has been out of production for over 10 years....The fiberglass hull and deck are created with handlaid fiberglass for strength and lightness....
You can build an awesome early war PT boat with this kit.....the Hull is 60" length and 16 " width at the widest section.... this equates to 3/4" = 1 Ft
This 1/16 scale Elco PT109 boat kit has been out of production for over 10 years....so if you ever wanted to build a large scale Elco PT Boat.....this could be your last chance to find a kit...I have not seen one for sale online for ages.........
........I built this same size PT boat 30 years ago......it ran beautiful with twin Lincoln Contiental power window motors......[ see pictures of my finished PT525 that I ran for 20 years....]
........The running gear consists of twin MY6812 Electric Bike motors that run on one 12V _12 AH sealed lead acid battery at 3500RPM.....enough to push this boat thru the water with the high pitch X457 props ........this is same arrangement that gave my 60" Elco boat good performance on the lake......
.......The only negative note is that you will need to do a little fiberglass repair on the deck...due to previous shipping damage.....2 small chips occurred on the deck at the bow and left rear corner at the deck transom [ see pictures] this can easily be repaired with bondo...and some wet sanding.......if you are not skilled working with fiberglass and bondo....then this kit is not for you.........or you can take it to a body shop for the minor repairs....and priming..!

..........Right now I am totally involved with remodeling our 2nd home in Florida....so if the PT boat doesn't sell.....I plan to store it until I have time to take on the project...... if it sells someone is going to get a good deal on very rare and complete Elco PT Boat kit..........!
