Is your new prop the same size and pitch as the old one? Look for numbers on the front face that reads something like, "8x4". The 8 means a 8" diameter prop, and the 4 is the pitch, which means the prop theoretically moves forward 4" with every revolution.

If the props have different numbers, then you need to get a new prop with the same numbers as the original prop.
