good luck on the job hunt. i'm used to making 20k or less down here in the poverty belt. no glue this week ha

no flight friday. there was a schedule issue with my instructor, but i did fly saturday. it was real windy. i would have chosen to not fly if it were not for ron saying he would save my bacon if needed. he did too!

i did a few take-offs and did well because the wind was straight down the runway. ron wanted to show me how quickly it would r-o-g. a few minutes before he lined up, the wind picked up a bit more and stayed steady. the eagle was off the ground in about 5 feet. ha

i had a hard time when turning into the wind. the plane seemed to hover instead of flying with any ground speed. i had to duck the nose down to get the plane moving again. the engine had a lot more speed available, but i was just drifting with the revs i had going. anyway the lesson was fun and a good learning experience.

and oh yes, i was nervous even though i wasn't thinking about the previous crash. i'm sure it was because of being so windy. s, you & the barron would have had fun with the little breeze. and, it was t-shirt wx again.
