The logo on the carburettor is that of HB: Helmut Bernhardt, a german manufacturer now defunct, that used to build Veco-based (I think they started out under Veco license even) engines under its own brandname.
The thing is, I have in all these years never seen a metal carburettor with the HB logo on it. HB mostly used Perry carbs, and a few own-design carbs for heli's and buggy engines. Those "own" carbs were twin needle but cosmetically pretty strongly resembled the Perry looks.
I cannot bring home the engine, but it does not look like anything HB ever made.
