Default Get an old quad going?

here was an old Holystone HS100 that was left at our flying field with a note saying it was found a few years ago, and they wanted it out of their garage. I posted on various lost and found sites, etc, but no one came for it. It's been on my desk for a couple of years now. It looks to be in good shape, nothing broken. Even the props are like new without any nicks.

I did go looking for a transmitter to go with it, without success. So, I am wondering what it would take to modify it to work with my Spektrum NX8 transmitter. I guessing I would need a new receiver, and a flight control board? The motors, speed controllers, etc should work fine?

Can anyone recommend what I need to to get, and what's involved in setting it up. I'm an old school RC plane guy, and only have had experience with a small toylike quad with a minimal transmitter. What's inside these things is a mystery.

The battery pack will need some work, I'd have to open it and replace the cells at a minimum. Maybe end up 3d printing a new cartridge and sorting out some contacts if I have to.

Thanks, Sam
