I don't know about the DX6e but I think the DX6 will let you do through dual rates on a switch so that you can switch it on and off. You can also set it up mechanically by offsetting the servo arm. That said, depending on how you fly, you might not notice much difference. The ailerons on a Timber are pretty effective as is. If you are flying something with a big draggy wing like a Cub or a WWI biplane differential can make a big difference. You also see it on sailplanes with really long wings. With a Timber it might make a difference if you were doing a lot of flaps down, lower edge of the speed envelope kind of flying. But for just buzzing around as a sport plane, not so much. The nice thing about aileron differential is that you can add quite a bit and you wont hurt anything and depending on your flying style you may get an improvement by way of reduced adverse yaw.
