Aside from that I want to add. The metal main cannon recoil system, main cannon smoke and light kit, machine machin gun smoke and light kit, seconday machine gun light kit, metal 360 ring and metal drive gear for it, better speaker, and last the body led kit.
Couple of things.

Main gun stability control only works if you also upgrade to servo elevation. Make sure what is being installed is using a servo and has a good range of movement. Also a quality servo not some cheap one with plastic gears. How well it works is greatly determined by the type of connection between the servo and gun breach. I have these systems on my Tamiya modern tanks and a couple on other tanks. They are cool at first but like most people that have them they are rarer turn on.

Hull lights, You do know on the real tank none of the view ports or optic light up. That is basically what the hull lighting kit does It's your tank you can do want you want but it looks funny to a lot of people. Hence why few people do it. This feature if used can be contributed by the 7.1

Smoke is easy to add to the main gun and internal mantlet MG so is flash both are mostly plug and play with a 7.1

No need for a metal 360 ring the plastic 360 rings work just as good. Especially with the new generation of high speed turret rotating gearboxes.

Metal gearboxes are standard on the pro edition but adding upgraded 390 motors is a big plus with the Merkava as it is a large tank and can bog down in turning with stock 380 motors especially as the weight of the tank increases with all the modifications you are adding.

So the only thing the 7.1 can't do right now but is set up to do is barrel stabilization. But there is a slot for this upgrade on the 7.1 for when HL releases their system. Its even in the manual.

What you have not mentioned is an upgrade to the IR battle system. I suspect since your kids also have tank you will want to IR battle with them. The stock IR receiver is for indoor use adding an aftermarket one like a LegoDEI will greatly improve the battling experience. You go from 3m range to 50m+ range. Enter world of difference and is 7.1 compatible.

I have several video of my Merkava on Facebook @ fsttanks . Feel free to have a look. Videos are of it running and if the RJMS Mod 2 recoil system in use.
