Default OK Models Pilot Diabolo 1/3.2 scale kit $450

I have an OK Models Pilot Diabolo 1/3.2 scale kit in my collection. It’s NIB and in "Great" condition. It includes a fiberglass cowl from Fiberglass Specialties in Sterling Heights MI. I had hoped to build this one day but I'm running out of time!

I don’t want to ship this kit so I’m offering it to you locally in the Phoenix area. If you have never seen one, they are beautifully engineered kits that go together very light.

Aircraft Specifications:

The Diabolo is a large-scale, high-performance aerobatic model typically constructed as a kit. According to historical model listings and related manuals, the following specifications apply to the 1/3.2 scale version:

Wingspan: Approximately 2.26 meters (89 inches) to 2.5 meters (98 inches) depending on the specific kit version.

Length: Approximately 2.0 meters (79 inches) to 2.1 meters (83 inches).

Weight: Generally, falls between 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs) and 10 kg (22 lbs) for the complete airframe.

Scale: 1/3.2, which places it in the "Giant Scale" category for RC aviation.

Construction: Features a balsa and plywood airframe, often designed to be lightweight for advanced aerobatic maneuvers like harriers and hovers.

Power and Control Requirements

Modern builds and legacy recommendations for this airframe size suggest the following equipment:

Engine: Originally designed for large 2-stroke glow engines (1.20 to 1.60 size) or modern 50cc to 60cc gasoline engines like the DLE 55 or DLE 55RA.

Radio System: Requires a minimum of 4 to 6 channels with high-torque servos (at least 5–6 servos) to handle the large control surfaces.

Flight Characteristics: Praised by pilots for its simulator-like stability and "smooth, steady" performance, capable of both high-speed precision and low-speed 3D maneuvers.

I’ve seen them selling for up to $700 online. I’m asking $450
