I prefer more bulbs over intensity. I use six of the LED replacements for florescent bulbs. They are made to daisy chain together and are pretty easy to install. After 10 years one of them flickers a bit if the shop is cold. Avoid cheap LEDs though. Some of them produce enough UV to fade colors. I stored some plastic kits near a LED strip light and the colors on the boxes have noticeably faded. If you just have to have the brightest of the bright it is hard to beat a halogen shop light. Halogens don't throw much UV but they can get very hot.
