I am 44 and live in the Texas Panhandle and work for an oilfield equipment manufacturer. I got started in RC a little over a year ago when my new neighbor moved in and I got envolved helping him move some stuff that included some 15-20 planes.After noticing my interest in planes he got me started with a scratch built .40 low wing plane and radio. He also gave me a kit that he had had for a few years and it was a .25 trainer that I built. I guess you could say he is a lot more popular with me than he is with my wife. I now fly both of my starting planes when I go out and and have a GP .40 P-51 on my building table right now.
