dale- Fox engines have NOT kept up with the times- back when a good day was when you got your ignition motor running before sunset and actualy flew Fox was one of the best. today you can take almost any OS engine out of the box put it on a plane run a tank of fuel through it and fly dependably. some brands take more time to break in ,it is all amatter of choice My preferance is Saito even with the breakin time they seem to ME to have more power in any given size. OS engines seem to run better right out of the box than others. my advice is to leave the FOX on the shelf until you get a real good understanding of why they are different. they are good motors if treated like they should be
