So you do this as "preventative maintenance"? You just replace everything that you think needs to be replaced, whether or not it requires it?
Sorry, but even after "thousands of flights", I cannot relate to the wear on Gimbals and pots within the transmitter......Just the practical me that says it's unreasonable to believe this to be so.
Having said that, I'll assume that you're very much the exception, and not the rule when it comes to practicing this approach. If it makes you feel good, then who am I to quaestion how you spend your money.
I agree with the replacement of the lithium battery! I just wish they'd stop putting those damned things in our transmitters... There are other ways these days to facilitate non-volitile memory, without the use of a battery.
As for the servo centering, and all that....that in itself is the topic fopr another thread....
