Well, thank you for your opinion. Now it's time to give others a chance to respond.
You're right, I posted the thread, and I therefore have the right to comment on the value of the responses.
Your assertion that the pots are mechanical and wear is true. The point is, in
my
opinion it's an unreasonable notion to believe that the wear would be discernable given the application, and the usage that we as modelers put them through.
I'm not a 'Champion", and it's not sarcasm that I used. You asserted yourself by making the claim that your opinion should be given more weight than others because you
are
a CHAMP.
I'll reiterate. I believe your practice to be the exception, and not the rule. I believe that replacing those components to be an obsessive practice, and very much outside the norm.
That's my opinion.
Now, is there anyone else that would care to comment on the practicality of periodically sending in your transmitter for "check-ups".
