Default Posting problems and getting stuck

Although RCU is increasingly getting better, I'm still having trouble getting around. The delay between the header and the ads and forums is still real bad at times, and using the back button often causes unbearable delays also. What gets me though is that it's about 50-50 no problems vs. slow and delays. When things are slow, it's not uncommon to get "stuck" and not be able to move forward or backward, and the only resolution is to get out of RCU and start over. I've also noticed that the bar at the bottom of the screen flickers like crazy and seems to work much harder loading pages that other forums I visit. I'm trying not to be negitive, but these are reasons I don't spend as much time here as I used to or would like to. But my biggest problem has been posting, and it's happening more frequent. There is nothing more irritating than spending considerable time making a post, only to loose it. Whenever I'm on RCU I've gotten into the habbit of C&P'ing my post before posting it just incase the following happens. When it does happen, I'll some times successfully hit back, repaste my post in the box, and the second time it more often than not works fine. Here's the screen I'm getting after unsucessfull posts:

We are sorry...
You are seeing this message because of one of the following reasons:

You tried to post information from another domain.
Personal firewall installed on your computer explicitly erased "http_referer" information.
Problem #1:

Forum admin enabled domain checking to prevent any unauthorized access from other domains. Please use http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/ to access our forum. You may click here to try again.

Problem #2:

Your personal firewall software may explicitly erased "http_referer" information from your browser. This small piece of information is used for security reasons only and we do not store this information on our web server, our database server, nor your browser (as cookies).

You will be able to view the content on our forums but you will not be able to post messages without "http_referer". The following personal firewall applications are known to cause this problem:

Norton Internet Security 2002:

Options
Personal Firewall
Advanced Options
Browsing Privacy
Click on the Permit tab from the drop down box on the Browser (User Agent)
Zone Alarm Pro Edition (under Privacy Sections):

Mobile Code Control > Off
Ad blocking > Off
Cookie Control > Off
It is also possible to set our forum's URL as a trusted site on some firewall software so that the software's settings will not conflict with our forums. For more information on firewall configuration, please consult the manual accompanied with the firewall software for detailed configuration instructions.

You should look for the following specific sections in the firewall's help file should you need to tweak your firewall settings:

Ad-blocking, as we use pop-up windows for various page functionalities. You should set the block level to "low" or turn it off completely while browsing our forums. Some firewall software can't differentiate an Ad from legitimate page functionalities.
User Agent settings, as we need to identify whether you are accessing our forums from the designated URL (specified by forum admin). In our case, the designated URL would be: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/
Script-blocking, as we use JavaScript for various page functionalities. Our JavaScript codes are available for viewing in case you are unsure of the safety issues involved.
Trusted Site/Zone, as you can set our forum's URL as a trusted URL in your firewall to prevent all the problems without having to switch off the above features in your firewall.

I do use Norton, but I have no blockers turned on and use no other blocker type programs. I always come here through a straight link in my favorites. This is a random thing, and I'd say I get this screen about 20% of the time while posting...and as Murphy would have it, it's usually after a long thought out post. That's why I've started C&P'ing all my posts before transmitting[8D] No need to answer this, it's mainly FYI as you guys are sorting things out. I wouldn't have posted this if this was happening on other forums, but this is the only place that I'm experiencing the drastic slow downs stalls. I also visit regularly from home and work, and experience the problems on both computers. Both are cable internet.
