RE: Saltos encounter
The right wing of the Salto on the right (my Salto) hit the nose of the other Salto. You can see the battery pack, part of the nose, and the cabin at the left. This Salto was repaired and flew again. My Salto's fuselage broke when it hit the ground and could not be repaired without adding too much weight and of course the right wing was completely lost when it hit the nose (with a 3.5 pound lead ballast plus battery pack) of the other sailplane.
