Default Which Extra

I have gone blind reading the threads, reviews and ratings on RCU for weeks and weeks trying to find the plane I’m dreaming of. I am really leaning towards the Extra because I like the styling and after watching a video from down on the deck with the Carden Extra I am sold on the idea. Giants are out mainly because of cost, and we cannot fly anything over 15 lbs or 16 sq.ft wing area at our club, and it is also noise sensitive at the field.

I’m not sure I truly understand the differences between 3D and all the other terms I read about but I want a plane that will hover, knife edge really well, Harrier/Elevator, nice slow rolling circles, you get the idea. Waterfalls spins and those extreme wing bending manoeuvres don’t really interest me a great deal at the moment, so can anyone give suggestions for an extra that they have flown that has no behaviour problems.

65” to 78” span and engines in the 120fs or moki 135-160 range is what I’m looking at.
My SE just won't do some stuff as you know, even though I can drop vertical from 40 feet to the runway with no rollout in the smoothest elevator you ever saw, this is the only thing it will do great. The guys at the field laugh and say I would be better suited with a Heli. With 16oz in wing loading it’s crap in the wind and blows away like a paper bag.

I saw a 65” extra and a yak54 at extreme flight with some great shots of the yak doing impressive stuff but it seems they will not be available yet and there is no price on the Yak as yet. If you look closely you can just see the guys feet who is holding the Yak in that 3mm high Knife edge pass.

Thanks in advance
