Default RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?

Bill,

The "Children" say it stands for Continually Buying or Constantly Broke. ha

The last I knew they also liked Super Modulation modifications and "Private" channels. I got some books that had a few lines about high power boosting, but I couldn't make heads or tails about it. A lot of CBers brought me their radios saying some tech had it up to 50 watts. My meter showed most of them doing 12 to 15 watts. I'm guessing their "tech" was using a meter that showed p-to-p wattage instead of average watts, or maybe he simply 'adjusted' his meter to show watt he wanted it to.

One of my customers told me his cb was walking all over a trucker who was running a 100 watt kicker. Evidently he told that storyon the air to a bunch of CBers in my community. That story brought me a lot of peak & tune jobs.

I know a tech out in San Fransisco who keeps 8 to 10 techs working for him. It's not that way here. There's fewer than 6 shops within a 75 mile radius who do well to stay in bizz using one tech. You're right, there's not much in it now, especially in a small town like mine, but it can be just those few extra bucks you don't want to bypass if you can get 'em while you're there anyway. That's the way we have to think down here.

About a year ago I took a trip that crossed I-30. There was a sign saying land for sale. The place was sort of remote to my way of thinking, but I asked about the price anyway and to the best of my memory I think they wanted $20k for an acre. shooooooooo

And, I guess I'll just stay around here. I have no debts, except the usual utilities.

If I didn't mind the "starting over" drag I could sell my house, buy a bit of bare land nearby to build and retire on when I get too sick or old to work, and use remainder of the dough that the homestead sold for to strike it rich in some boomtown. I guess I'd rather live out the rest of my life around the nit wits I know rather than living around nit wits I don't know. Maybe everyone doesn't see things like this old nit wit. ha

See ya layer,
