Fuel/oil mix for the Fuji gasoline engines must be at least 40:1. 50:1 is a bit short of oil.

The main problem with hand-starting is getting high-enough speed to allow the magneto to give a high-enough spark. The engine should be choked so that it's quite "wet", and spitting a bit of fuel from the carburetor. A very brisk flip should allow it to fire.
