There is a new version of PPJoy available, which I believe will allow you to use your parallel interface as a normal joystick. You will need to download and install PPJoy and follow the setup instructions of PPJoy to set up your virtual joystick port.

As I am using Win98SE, I am unable to test the parallel interface on PPJoy.
