Default RE: XTM MAMMOTH V. AE MGT

ORIGINAL: popa71

Im not going to compare the two trucks because I have not seen the Mgt run. I will tell you the mammoth has some nice features!!!!
1. High Torque steering servo 175 oz
2. Four steel disc brakes
3. Throttle return spring
4. Theaded shocks
5. heavy duty construction
6. Layed out for track racing ( buggy style set up)
7. simple design(easy to work on)
8. Feels light for its size( even weight distribution, not top heavy)
9 Spur gear protection
10. 50 mph straight out the box( I already installed the 24.7 pro in mine, dont know if it will make it faster)
NOW we're talking turkey! That IS an impressive feature list, especially the servo & threaded shocks.

Dunno about the brakes, though. Am I correct in assuming that you mean one disc at each wheel, rather than one "quad" setup in the middle?

I know people often say they want discs at each wheel, but in practice, I believe it would be MUCH heavier (relatively, I know we're not talking pounds!), it would involve a maze of (fragile) linkages, and I imagine it would be tricky maintianing proper brake balance between all 4 wheels. But it IS unique, and people DO seem to want it, so what the hell!
