WillySon,
I am quite adapt at screaming THROUGH the trees. On our final approach, when the wind is JUST right.. we actually don't have a crosswind. We instead get a horribly strong wind that negates our ability to land where the nice approach is. Thus we must with 50 foot trees being approximately 100 feet from the edge of the runway which is only 60 feet from a WALKING trail! If the AMA saw our airfield, they would yank their sponsorship SO fast. BUT from what I hear, we already supposedly do not recognize the AMA for a number of reasons. Whatever.
SO, on final there are two bigger trees that if I go between, I find I get a nicer landing and do not overshoot. Which would take me to the 'nice' area. However the nice area has huge grass and large ruts. The 'nice' area is nice on approach because you can keep it low as you come in..if you have the option with the wind...but you certainly do NOT want to land there hehe. You will at best rip your gears away and flip the plane violently.
SO yes, I actually have to fly between two trees. Sometimes I am well above, but many times I actually would clip them if I were right or left of them just a bit. Then I have to land it on a 26' wide by 150' runway (paved). The 150 part isn't very hard, especially if you have the 'nice' approach. But the 26' gets a bit tricky. ESPECIALLY with our normal horribly crosswind. I've learned to run backwards very well as I dodge my airplane crabbing toward me HA.
Also...there is a field that the US government owns (for what we do not know yet), and there are a few 30-50 foot trees sparsly placed throughout there. Totaling about 6-10 of em. I like to fly low, cut knife edges the best I can with just rudder and elevator, and pylon between them. :O I did a figure eight today around two of them today.
EDIT: bill we should be pm'n HA. Ok, so get the 91 4 stroke and stick it on the Tiger II??!??! It says its range is UP TO a .75 4 stroke. AND, the OS Surpass 2 4 stroke is only 239 at tower hobbies. IS that a good price? And WHERE do I get the Saito for that price?!?! I REALLY like those saitos the more I read about them.

I would surely like the black one with the gold tops. OOOOOOOOOO BABY!
EDIT x2: Bill...
