RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?
SC:
I don't know what the EE and K are either, but my guess is they are the revision code for the current models they are selling. What that is, Saito will make a revision to the FA-80 series, for example. Suppose the pre-mod was a "J" series, then the revised engine would have a "K" stamped on the engine lug.
So if that is the case, it would indicate the current 91 GK was an "EE" revision, and the plain metal engine is a "K" model.
The current muffler is the same as shown in my picture of the US engine, no longer the sleek tube of the earlier engines.
Whether the black is worth the extra $25 is up to you. As a matter of course I will enamel and bake the cylinder when I pull one off, if it's not already black. I said I had one still in plain metal, that one hasn't yet been apart. And I do have one genuine "Golden Knight."
So think it over, it's your money, your time, your airplane, and intended for your plesure.
Bill.
