I looked a little closer at mine after I read your post. I think you would be making a mistake trying to change this plane. For one thing all the servos are mounted in the wing. Plus once the AILE are attached the wing wont slide out. Cutting a wing saddle in the bottem of the fuse would weaken it to much. And I think the wing is a lot of the fuse strength to start with. If you want a plane that transports and store easyer look at the Sig Something Extra.
It is a little heavyer and wont knife edge as well but other than that it flyes about the same. The wings on it are mounted on a tube and slide on and off with ease. The ARF and kit are both great planes and respond well to Saito .72 power. later daveo
