GET AN INSTRUCTOR to help you. The fact that you can't get it started means that you probably don't know how to properly tune the engine either-assuming you could get it running. It doesn't much to fry an engine from overheating due to a too lean fuel mixture.
Swallow your pride and get help from a club local. You'll end up saving a lot of money and learning so many useful tips that you can't learn from reading. I've seen too many crashes from newbies who didn't want someone to show them the basics. This hobby is expensive enough and any tip/help to prolong your investment should be welcome.
