Default RE: 3 line tanks - 3rd line bend tubing or use tubing with clunk?

the tanks i use have two extra holes off to one side top and bottom that are blanked off. i always assumed this was for a fuel guage as a bit of silicone between these would show the level, but i could use the lower hole as a drain even tho it's slighty rasied and the plane would have to be put on it's nose slightly to drain.
Draining the fuel on my Capiche before meant turning the plane upside down and draining from the exhaust line, but as i've changed tanks after the crash i'm gonna try this lower hole as a fill and drain. it's not the bung type so i cant fit a pipe facing down, and i'll have to block one of the normal holes.
Thanks Marc
