Default RE: Model Tech P-47 engine?

I installed an O.S. 1.20 FS in mine. The only cutting on the cowl was for the exhaust and for the airflow exit, which needs to be done regardless of which engine you choose. The engine pulls the plane with authority and sounds great also. I'm sure a .91 or 1.00 would work just fine, but you will have to add dead, unusable weight to the nose to get it to balance. The balance issue is the main reason I went with the 1.20, usable nose weight.

meataball1,

Did you use anything to replace the supplied wheel well covers after you enlarged the holes? I would like to enlarge mine but I haven't figured out what to use to replace the wheel well covers. I really don't like the idea of leaving the well open. I'm affraid that oil from the exhaust and dirt may get up into the wing. I nedd some advice.

Thanks,

John
