Default RE: Model Tech P-47 engine?

I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I guess it could be done. Seems like a little trouble though. Adding a larger motor is ideal in this situation. Sure, it's heavier, but it's more powerful. The only drawback I see with your idea is that the battery is going to get nasty with oil and the wires will be somewhat exposed, which in my opinion is not a very good thing. I'm with meatball on this one, right behind the firewall would be as far forward as I'd go. If you need more weight after that, you'll probably have to add some lead. Good luck.

Meatball,

I'm sorry. I misworded my request. I said wheel well covers instead of wheel well cups. I don't use the covers, but what I was needing to know was what you used for new wheel well cups. Your reply answers my question. What did you do to the covering on the edge of the well hole to keep it from being pulled loose by the airflow over the wing? I'm sure that ironing it down will help, but I'm not sure if just ironing it down will make it stay put. What did you do here?
