Flaperons might be a fine addition to some types of models but it is overkill on the Senor Kadet. That airplane flys so well that the addition of flaperons would just be an unnecessary bunch of work. Build a new airplane that is designed for STOL and you will have a lot of fun with the rigging and setup and your Kadet will still be great every day model for a long time. A Pilatus Porter comes to mind for trying different additions such as flaperons, split flaps, spoilers and leading edge slots to name a few.
