Thanks Andrew,

No pictures yet, but I'm hoping the old red elf will leave a new digital camera this year, he's certainly been told enough times! If that happens I've got I'll have lots of pictures, at least until I get tired of it.

This little engine was a challenge, but the toughest I've tackled so far was a Bantam .16, those tiny rings and the blind liner were a hoot to get right, not to mention the timer.

I machined the backcover. I was going to stamp myown but when I looked at the distance between the cover and the crankpin the is enough space for the rod to fall off and get between the pin and the cover. Still, the staped cover would look more authentic and a spacer could be made to take up the gap. Of course in theory everything is perfect and the rod will always run centered on the pin journal so why worry right?

If you have one and would be willing to part with it please let me know how much. As far as that goes, if you have another casting you'd be willing to part with I'd be interested in that too.

Interesting note on the SAM number. Dad and I were in Colorado when we formed SAM, we're founding members so to speak. Dad still gets alittle annoyed since he's SAM 37, he figures since he older (and paid my first dues) he should have the lower number. He He!
