yeah im not familiar with computer radios at all never had one, getting one for my car though. But i know what some of the stuff ist (exponential, programming, etc.) but am not reallly familiar with them. Im sure i could get help @ my field but even the 6102 seems a little "overwhelming" for me or who knows maybe not. Im on my second plane from a trainer, a sig 25% Extra 300XS and thats kind of "too much plane" for now. But theres servos in it and a cheap Hitec Laser Radio in it now. so i think im gonna save the servos with teh new radio for a heli later. I think i want the PCM one though for helis (289.95) I think the radios the same for the heli, just an extra servo and bigger battery.

Okay the reciever i have now is the one that came with my avistar trainer and the radio was a " Futaba skysport 4" and its FM. so if i buy this radio, and get a new crystal for the RX i have now (that matches the channel of the new radio of course) will it work?? The radio i have now is a Futaba and its not interchangable with JR??
