The Robart Hinge Points need to be countersunk into the control surfaces to keep the hinge joint snug.

The mini hinge points you posted would probably work as long as you use enough of them. Same principle as the larger ones, need to be countersunk into the surfaces.

I don't like putting so many hinges in, so I think I will opt for the 1/4 scale hinges and just use the same amount as called for in the plans.
