RE: Kange Laser 2000
I got mine from Lowes about $12.00. They do much better against alum. I was trying to get rid of about 12 used machines to the metal yard and tried cutoff saws, Sawzalls etc and finally was talking to a machine shop and they suggested the roughest cut blade carbide tipped.
I was a bit suspicious but tried it and was amazed at the clean cut, it literally makes it shiny and is like butter.
I have them in 7" &10" chose the B&D because it was the cheapest.
The only thing to watch out for is the chips fly all over the place and make sure you use a pusher. I had a bruise in my side where a small piece I was cutting flew backwards and hit me in the side before I could duck!!
Ps They also said you can cut steel by putting the oldest blade you have on backwards and when it glows red it will cut. Trashes the blade on that. Havent tried it myself as the bandsaw works easy on steel.
