RE: Phoenix Models Fun Star 40-3D
Ok I managed to get the CG balanced at 110 by moving the battery behind the throttle servo tray directly under the wing bolt holes. I managed to fly it for the first time a few days ago but for only for 5 min as it was late in the day and I got a late start, aside making a few modifications at the field before test flight.
As far as weight I have yet to weigh it but I would guess it around 3.5 - 4.2. The OS 46FX seems to haul it around at the proper flight speed at only 1/4 throttle, anymore then that, I would fear that it may come apart. It doesn't seem as though this plane was designed for speed.
Also I forgot to mention I am using a fether weight 6 channel receiver (Hitec Electron 6) so as to help keep the weight down.
