Just the basics. Minimize glue use (but don't build weak!), select lumber carefully, putting the lightest pieces of stringer and skin panel back there. I monokoted the plane instead of glassing it, and that's HUGE aft of datum. Replaced the steel 4-40 rods with carbon fiber, and the heavy tailblock they provided with a lighter one from my scrap heap. Sheeted the empennage fins with CA rather that aliphatic resin or epoxy.
