On some sets, the delay before
entering failsafe is programmable. I believe my older PCM10 provides 30ms, 1.5s and 2s. I think the newer JR uinits are ~30ms.
BTW, I use the same setting on my fixed wing aircraft. Snap/spin is the only way to ensure a fixed wing aircraft won't leave the safety zone and, it's obvious what's happened and easy enough to recover from ... provided you have enough altitude.[X(]
