True, but with the reality of shipping planes in a hot cargo container for several weeks I think that step is going to be with us for a long time. Unless we want to go back to that awful foam/plastic hybrid covering [:'(]. I did avoid that step with my last plane by getting a Composite ARF . The wheel pants on that plane aren't as good as on the GP Egale though.
