Default RE: The basics of converting to diesel???

Davis charges around $60 for a 40 size conversion head, I think. Don't know if he has one for the Evo. The fuel is not cheaper than glow fuel. Economy is some better.

I found the learning curve quite steep for the conversions, and I've been running model engines off and on for 45 years.

But there are some unique things you can do with diesel. For example swing a much larger prop, as on my TF Spitfire, or run a long exhaust tube out the back of the airplane, as on my GP Cub ARF.

Diesel is fun, but you might want to start with a 1/2A size. I started with a MVVS .09. Got it for 20 bucks on special deal from Morris Hobbies. Hand starts easy and runs great. Not much of a learning curve.

Goodluck with your dieseling!
