Might be a good idea to take it to an instructor and have him look it over for you to make sure everything is set up right first. That way you don't start it and do damage to something or try to fly it yourself and break it.
Just about every person I know that took it out and taxied it around the yard just to get "practice" taxiing has broken the plane. It is too easy to screw up and hit something or get it in the air. Hate to see you do that.
