Airgar, it seems we are at the opposite ends of the spectrum on this issue but based on your experience I don't blame you for switching to a differant hinge.

Rjbarthel, If it ain't broke don't fix it. Don't start trying to solve a problem that you don't even have yet, just keep an eye on your hinges and spend your building time on new projects.
This is good advice. KEEP AN EYE ON THEM. It would be a lot of work to re-hinge all your planes....and who knows, you may be one of the "lucky" ones! heh heh
As I stated earlier, only half of the elevator on the trainer has been repaired, as I won't fix what ain't broken... in this case the other 1/2!
I was fueling the trainer when I noticed it. This may be a good time to give all your surfaces a little love tug.
