I assume you have the box with the 2 540 motors. I have the same box and have had it for years and it still runs great.
I have replaced the rubber wheel once but that is about it.

I am unsure about the switch, could be the wiring.

As for the low speed of the motors...How are you hooking it up to the battery in your car?

Sometimes a long cable between the box and the battery can cause excessive resistance but should not deplete your car battery if it is in good shape.

I would check the wiring in the box and possibly rewire it, the other thing is that it may be possible that the motors are just worn out.


What kind of physical condition is the box in?
