as you can see from the pic its layout is kinda conventional, the engine rotates by a retract servo but that part is all under control.

I need the engine to be mounted about 2 inches backward so it can swivel without hitting anything.Only problem is, seeing as its like a heli the engine has to be directly over the CG point. Now, i'm wondering if for eg, you made the tail smaller, then the CG point would move backwards too. I don't mean as in ballast, but as in the centre of lift.

Another eg, take a bog standard trainer, high wing set-up. Now the CG point is roughly a 1/3 of the wing chord. If Made the tail smaller/bigger, then would you have to change the C of G by ballast because the centre of lift is now different.

Or if you made a new set of wings for the trainer, swept back wings, the centre of lift would be furthur back so the CG point would be furthur back
