RE: how to make the C of G go rearward
i'm a bit of a bad flyer really, i rarely ever check the CG point of any of my planes lol
i know i should do more often as its a crash waiting to happen, so far i've put 3 planes up without checking the CG to a suitable standard, best i did was placed my fingers underneath the main wing spars and if it balanced there i flew it, so far i've been lucky.
If it comes to it i can always make minor CG changes by adding weights to the nacelle. If you think about it, if i make it so its heavier at the front of the nacelle, when i tilt from vertical to horizontal, the CG will go forward because of the weight being put forward now alters it. At the moment i have it balanced right so it balances without tipping either way but i can change this with lead weights if need be which is always a solution if need be.
