RE: Prop on Avistar
I've been flying my Avistar now for about 9 months. It's the best all around plane I own and by far my favorite Sunday flier. People have a hard time believing that a trainer can fly outside manuvers that well. It started out with a 10 year old crusty Royal .40 in it which flew like the devil with a nylon 10-6 master airscrew. Then after getting hooked on 4 strokes, I stuck a .52 Magnum with a 11-10 master airscrew and the thing climbs like gravity doesn't exist. I've never had any problems with prop nuts loosening up on wooden or nylon props...even with torquey 4-strokes.
