I had (RIP) one of the earlier kits and changed out some of the hardware and used different hinges also(Klett 1/4scale) and used a different tank. The Saito 180 is a good match for doing what an Extra is designed to do and then some. I had a lot of fun and it was one of the easiest planes I have ever had to get really comfortable with. I can't really explain it..it was like I had been flying it for a long time. I will get me another one as soon as I go back to work at the LHS.
It was just one of those planes that sticks in your mind as a plane that you really enjoy flying. Damn..I think I am tearing up again...[] R.I.P. old gal...
