just worked ok for me.

I uploaded a picture then made the post. the picture appeared. I went back and clicked "edit" on my post, deleted the attachment picture and then submitted. my post remained as you see above. If you are doing it some other way try it my way to see if that works ok for you. Best to make your post then go back and amend/delete photos you decide you don't want
