Thanks for the input as it confirmed what I thought to be the case.
The Falcon ignition has one other little wrinkle to catch the unwary,and that is an automatic shutdown of the black box if the switch is on and there is no movement past the sensor for one minute approx.You must then close and re-open the switch to reset the unit.
