Default RE: First pics of 28% Extra

"There will be two versions. The Extra 300 Special is a derivative of our Edge, using the same fuselage with Extra style wings, cowl and landing gear.

There will also be an Extra 330LX, a reduced size version of our 35% Extra. "

How wide is the new cowl? I've got a D&B 3.7 twin (10 inches) looking for a home! I also saw that the tail surfaces were bigger on the LX.
Thanks for asking, it gives me an opportunity to update this information.

As of this date the wider body 300LX idea did not work out, we were unable to get it all into 1 UPSable box, so the 300LX is back to the slimmer fuselage. We (the factory and I) are still analyzing whether to stay with the same tailfeathers as the 300 Special or to go to a more scale tail. We know that what we have works well, last minute changes are risky.

To answer your question, the cowl is about 9 1/2" wide.
