Kinda depends on what you want it to do, wing loading, etc. Here's one (S8036) I like, designed by the good Dr. Michael Selig, wind tunnel tested at low Reynolds numbers and is the root airfoil for the Top Flite P-47 kit that does very well. I've used it on several designs myself and on projects I've helped friends with. It s stable, clean and flies decent inverted. If you're doing a tapered wing, the companion S8037 for the tip with a couple degrees washout does really nice.
