Bob is a personal friend, so I wanted to get my two cents in. The project is aggressive by anyone's standards. But you have to know the person. He is one of the best composite experts in the business with a thriving company which makes composite components for corporate jets. He has been in the aircraft business his entire life and learned from some of the best like Burt Rutan. Bob has built several very successful ultralights and has worked for NASA as well as other prominent aircraft companies. His love for R/C started at a very early age and he is well known around these parts for his abilities. You would have to see this plane in person to appreciate the quality of workmanship and attention to detail. Why did he do it?..... because he could. Not many in this hobby would have the talent and know how to bring this project to fruition. Bob can and will. As far as safety, it will only fly once insured and completely checked out. (You don't want to know what the insurance will cost.) I for one, hope I am there for the maiden flight....it will be awesome.
